Players on the Bulgarian property market are dynamically changing
Just a year ago, 80 per cent of all the property deals in Bulgaria were signed by native English speakers.
Today, statistics show that barely 20 per cent of all holiday homes transactions are realised by UK residents. Now, the majority of holiday-home buyers comes from Russia, in particular Moscow. Along with Russians, the new active players on the Bulgarian property market are Romanians, Belarusians and Kazakhs.
The new clients have new requirements and criteria, and it is hard for developers to quickly get in line with the new trends. That's why there are property developers who are already loosing their hold.
If the UK buyers' motto was "the cheaper, the better", Russians are choosing properties with the greatest number of extras. Russians are keen on large, spacious and luxurious properties.
